Description

Location Information  
Click on the map with this tool to view a report describing the point of interest.
 

Zoom Full Extent  
Displays the map showing the full extent of Bayfield County.

Zoom In  
Click once, or click-drag a rectangle on the map to zoom in.

Zoom Out  
Click on the map to zoom out.

Recenter  
Click once on the map to recenter the map at this location.

Measure  
Click points on the map to measure distance or area.

Previous Extent  
Go back to the previous extent.  Layers turned on since the last extent may be turned off.
  

Quick Zoom  
Zoom to townships of interest.

Scale  
Shows the current map scale.  Enter a new value and press [Enter] to zoom to that scale.
 

Legend/Layers  
Click on the checkbox to turn on/off the visibility of a layer.  Layers at the top of the legend will be drawn last.  Text appears above the top-most layer.
 

Line Layer  
Layer will be drawn as a colored line.
 

Hollow-Fill Layer  
Layer will be drawn transparent with colored outlines.
 

Solid-Fill Layer  
Layer will be drawn with solid fill and colored outlines. Only one solid-fill layer should be turned on at a time.  Solid-fill layers will obscure image layers.
 

Image Layer  
Layer is based on a scanned image such as an aerial photo.
Image layers are always drawn first, and only one image layer should be turned on at a time.
 

Legend Tab  
Shows layers of information that may be displayed on the map.  Layers are ordered from the bottom of the list to the top.
 

Search Tab  
Locate parcels by their identifier number, owner name or PLSS Section/Township/Range.
 

Locator Map Tab  
Shows the location of the current map display.
 

Print Tab  
Enter a map title and press [Create Map] to create a map suitable for printing on a desktop printer.
