MapViewer Technical Notes

To run the MapViewer, you must have a Java-enabled browser; you may need to download Java software if you are uable to see the map image.

If only a partial image appears in the map window, you must uninstall previous versions of the Java Virtual Machine (VM). In Control Panel, open Add/Remove Programs and remove all Java VM applications except the latest version.

Mac users require Safari/OSX for Java display. 

MapViewer is powered by MapServer, an OpenSource development environment for web mapping applications
