Understanding Natural Hazards. 2001. Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. A 40 page booklet that provides an introductory guide to natural hazards along the shores of the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River System, large inland lakes, river and stream systems. Written for a Canadian audience, the booklet contains much information of general value to all persons interested in the subject. Subsurface Drainage for Slope Stabilization. 2001. Kevin Forrester. A comprehensive, clearly-written book on ways to control groundwater within eroding slopes. Although this book is written for engineers, it can help property owners understand the problems caused by groundwater within their properties and solutions to these problems.
