Welcome to Bayfield County Land Records SurveyViewer!  This site has been developed to provide Internet access to maps of survey and Public Land Survey System corner information.  Over 5,000 documents have been scanned and are available in a PDF format.

Information available on SurveyViewer includes:

• Scanned images of maps of survey, certified survey maps, and plats of survey for you to view.

• Scanned images of PLSS land corner restoration forms, PLSS corner inventory forms, and miscellaneous survey corner forms for you to view and/or download.

Note: In keeping with the policies of the Register of Deeds Office in the implementation of their duties cited in Section 59.43, State Statutes, documents that have been recorded at that office, such as certified survey maps and plats of survey, may be reproduced only by that Department at the prescribed copying fee of $2 for the first page of a record and $1 for each additional page. For that reason, you may view certain recorded documents on SurveyViewer, but are expressly prohibited from printing or reproducing these images. You may obtain certified copies of desired documents from the Register of Deeds Office by contacting them at: RegisterOfDeeds@bayfieldcounty.org or 715.373.6119      Direct Internet subscription service will be available through the Register of Deeds Office in the future.
