Save to Give Challenge in Bayfield County

SaveToGive graphic

Bayfield County has been selected as one of the first communities in Wisconsin to participate in the Save to Give Challenge, sponsored by FOCUS ON ENERGY®, Wisconsin’s energy efficiency and renewable energy resource program. The program is offered in partnership with Xcel Energy.

SAVE ENERGY TO SUPPORT LOCAL NONPROFITS

With Bayfield County’s Save to Give Challenge, Xcel Energy customers can take easy, energy-saving actions at home to save big. When participants record what they’re doing to save energy, FOCUS ON ENERGY® will give to a nonprofit on their behalf! Together, we can raise up to $12,000 for nonprofits this spring and up to $13,000 in the fall – just by conserving energy in our homes.

HOW YOU CAN SAVE TO GIVE

For 8-weeks starting April 26th through June 21st, you can:

  1. Use your Xcel Energy utility bill to sign up at wisavetogive.com
  2. Choose a nonprofit to support in Bayfield County
  3. Learn easy ways to save energy at home.
  4. Record what you’ve done to save energy each week to earn donation points for your chosen nonprofit

As residents earn donation points by signing up and saving energy, Bayfield County nonprofits can share up to $12,000 donated by Focus on Energy this Spring!

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

  • Xcel Energy electric customers in Bayfield County are eligible to participate.
