Consider joining the fun and innovative upcoming Aging Mastery Program® (AMP)! AMP empowers participants to embrace their gift of longevity by spending more time each day doing things that are good for themselves and for others. The program encourages mastery—developing sustainable behaviors across many dimensions that lead to improved health, stronger economic security, enhanced well-being, and increased societal participation.
Using the program developed by the National Council on Aging (NCOA), educators from the UW-Madison Division of Extension will be offering this ten-session health and wellness program to older adults to help them build their own playbook for aging well.

Reasons to become a Mental Health First Aider: 123 people die by suicide each day, 1 in 5 people live with a mental health condition
Adult Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
Limited registration, with priority given to northern Wisconsin residents - register soon to assure a seat as the deadline is April 16th. First Aiders will complete a 2-hour self-paced online class, then participate in a 6-hour Instructor-led Zoom Meeting.
Trainings are offered through NAMI Douglas County, WI and the WI Rural Opioid & Stimulant Engagement (WiROSE),funded by SAMHSA to address opioid & stimulant prevention, intervention,& recovery. WiROSE is a project of the Extension Health & Well-being Institute
