    Living Well with Chronic Conditions--Get Help for Ongoing Health Challenges Wednesdays, September 20 through October 25, 2017, 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Bayfield. This 6-week, evidence based workshop is for adults dealing with on-going medical conditions, such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, MS, and others. Participants will learn tools and strategies for self management of their health needs: · Getting needed support · Handling pain and fatigue · Selecting appropriate nutrition and exercise choices · Working through challenges and planning actions · Communicating effectively with doctors, family members, and others Register by calling Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) at 715-292-6400, ext 2.   2. Stepping On Workshop-(fall prevention)

    September 20, 2017, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Northern Lights Services dining room

    Stepping On is a 7-week workshop where you’ll learn exercises and strategies to help prevent you from falling. This program has been researched and proven to reduce falls in older people. It consists of a workshop that meets for two hours a week for seven weeks. Workshops are led by a health professional and a peer leader, someone who, like you, is concerned about falls. In addition, local guest experts provide information on exercise, vision, safety, and medications.
