October 11, 2019, 3:30 PM - October 12, 2019
Welcome to the 21st Anniversary of the Memorial Medical Center WhistleStop Marathon and Half- Marathon. We’re looking forward to your participation in this smaller, runner-friendly event. Our course is flat, easy on the knees, and the one on which you can set your PR or qualify for Boston. Throw in spectacular fall colors, friendly aid stations and the best in pre-and post-race blues music and it’s easy to see why the Memorial Medical Center WhistleStop is the Upper Midwest’s fall classic.
October 12, 2019, 7:30 AM - 7:00 PM @ Lakewoods Resort
The Namakagon Cancer Walk is a non-competitive, fun & friendly walk or bike around Lake Namakagon. Starting at Lakewoods Resort walkers will follow a road route to the Pioneer Bar for a Luncheon. People interested in doing the full eighteen miles will then continue on the road back to Lakewoods. Join us to be a Partner Against Cancer.
Break stations have refreshments, water, snacks and shelter. These are to be the stopping & starting points for individuals not walking the entire route. Restroom locations are available along the route.
We encourage you to go out & collect donations for the walk. Bring the whole family to join in on the fun. Walkers and bikers can receive a FREE weekend for their fundraising efforts! By collecting $250 per person or more, you can get a room, meals, and more for this great event!
October 12, 2019, 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Ken Johnson Farm
Welcome to the Oulu Corn Maze! We are located in northern Wisconsin, not far from the shores of Lake Superior. Just a short 40 minute ride from Duluth/Superior or 45 minutes from Ashland or Hayward. The field is tucked away in beautiful Bayfield county on Ken Johnson’s farm. When you get here, come right into the barn and get your ticket to the maze. Hop on the wagon for a hayride up to the corn field. Once at the maze you will begin your hunt for the hidden posts. After your adventure, stop back in the barn for some warm apple cider or a cup of hot cocoa. You can hangout, visit or meet some of our animals friends. The maze is perfect for a fun day with the family, an adventure with your friends or a romantic walk with your sweetheart.
We’ll see you at the maze!
Bring your camera and wear your boots.
