  1. The Challenges of Gardening with Wildlife

    April 18, 2019, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center

Spring has come and your perennial plants are beginning to appear. The trees and shrubs are in bud too and we can hardly wait for things to grow and bloom. Unfortunately, here come so many unwelcome wildlife guests and predators to our gardens as well. Choosing ornamental and native plants and knowing our adversaries in the garden is a good way to combat their appetites. Cindy Dalzell is a landscape architect on Madeline Island with over 40 years of garden design and installation experience. Come learn some gardening tips to keep wildlife and predators of all shapes and sizes at bay and have beautiful gardens!

  1. Caregiver and Dementia Conference

    April 18, 2019, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM @ WITC-Ashland

The 2019 Caregiver and Dementia Conference "Feel Better – Care Better" is all about taking good care of yourself so you can take good care of your loved ones. As caregivers, we are less likely to give good care to our loved ones if we are feeling down. Winter is an especially hard time for many, and being negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult. We can be proactive in taking care of ourselves so we can take good care of our loved ones. As caregivers, it is essential that we find a way to keep our spirits and energy levels up by focusing on spiritual, mental and physical health. Let’s go on a feel better journey so we can all care better. Follow link for more information and registration form.
