The Port Wing Saturday Market started 6 years ago with a handful of vendors.
It has grown into a fun shopping place to hang out on Saturday mornings from May to October. The focus of the Port Wing Saturday Market is fresh, locally grown produce, plants and flowers. Our local farmers grow a wide variety of your favorite veggies and fruits. They also sell maple syrup, jams, jellies, farm fresh eggs & meats.
Not only do we have fresh local produce, we offer local artists the opportunity to showcase their art: handmade books, stone and beaded jewelry, wood-carved and wood-turned spoons and other utensils, pottery, soaps and lotions, knitted hats & mittens, handwoven rag-rugs, bird paintings on wood and funny signs, just right for your cabin or guesthouse.
When you are on the South Shore of Lake Superior, don't forget to stop by and visit!

CBAC’s Art on the Bay annual fundraiser is a Black and White Masked Ball! Truman Capote hosted the first in November of 1966 in New York City’s Plaza Hotel.
We invite you to participate in the creation of a local celebration of commonality and diversity. You can come as a person in attendance at Capote's event, as someone who you think should have been there, a person who should be at a 2019 event, or come as your diverse self. Capote said, “I have thought for years that it would be interesting to bring disparate people together and see what happens.” We promise it will be lovely and better still if you are there!
The event will showcase spontaneous and participatory entertainment, theme-related installations by local artists, on-site mask creation, professional portrait photo booth, delectable and generous food offerings, beer and wine for purchase, a wine pull, silent auction, gallery items and more!?

A singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. Whether touring as a 'Duo' or with his 'Acoustic Group' or his 'Large Band', Lovett's live performances show not only the breadth of this Texas legend's deep talents, but also the diversity of his influences, making him one of the most compelling and captivating musicians in popular music. Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lyle Lovett has evolved into one of music's most vibrant and iconic performers. Among his many accolades, besides the four Grammy Awards, he was given the Americana Music Association's inaugural Trailblazer Award and was named Texas State Musician.
