  1. Glassblowing Classes & Demonstrations

    June 22, 2019 - July 7, 2019 @ Oulu Glass Gallery

    Adult Classes are approximately 2 + hours in length. Long pants (No SHORTS will be allowed) Closed-tipped shoes (i.e. tennis shoes) Wear a Hat or headband Long-sleeved cotton shirt Optional– no billowy sleeves Wear sunglasses Kids Classes: Quick ssession: Ages 5-12 Kids get to experience the hot glass, use of tools and equipment and make something of their choice. Choose between a heart, paperweight, or paperweight fish. Approx: 1/2 hr long. $25 each

  3. Bayfield Race Week

    July 1, 2019 - July 5, 2019

    Bayfield Race Week is the centerpiece of the AIS season: a week long festival of sailing on the South Shore of Lake Superior. The event surrounds the 4th of July, and attracts boats and crews all points of the compass, including: Canada, Florida, Duluth, and the Twin Cities. Race week itself kicks-off on Sunday evening with registration. Racing starts at 1100 each day, with multiple fleets. Depending on conditions, up to three races may be run in a day. Post race entertainment starts with the social at the Pavilion each night, with prizes, and continues on throughout the week. Bayfield in the mid summer is a lively place with many unique dining and live music options.

  4. Red Cliff Traditional Pow-Wow

    Come and Celebrate the good life at the Annual Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Traditional Pow Wow. Enjoy music, traditional dances, delicious food, craft vendors, game, prizes and more at this 3 day celebration! Specials;Youth hand Drum, Adult hand Drum, Men's Woodland & Women's Jingle. There will be a free Shuttle from Legendary Waters to the Pavilion. Admission is $7 for a Button which gets you in/out of the grounds. For room and campsite reservations check out Legendary Waters Resort and Casino's Hotel & Campgrounds.

    Original music, song-stories, and beautiful big-screen photography lead this musical history of Bayfield and the Island Environs, with secrets of Red Cliff and Old LaPointe. Take a journey with lighthouse keepers, Ojibway, dreamers and schemers, voyageurs, fishermen, and more. Created in 1985 by Warren Nelson and Betty Ferris, this was the first show ever performed on the Big Top stage!
