  1. Glassblowing Classes & Demonstrations

    June 22, 2019 - July 7, 2019 @ Oulu Glass Gallery

    Adult Classes are approximately 2 + hours in length. Long pants (No SHORTS will be allowed) Closed-tipped shoes (i.e. tennis shoes) Wear a Hat or headband Long-sleeved cotton shirt Optional– no billowy sleeves Wear sunglasses Kids Classes: Quick ssession: Ages 5-12 Kids get to experience the hot glass, use of tools and equipment and make something of their choice. Choose between a heart, paperweight, or paperweight fish. Approx: 1/2 hr long. $25 each

    Come and Celebrate the good life at the Annual Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Traditional Pow Wow. Enjoy music, traditional dances, delicious food, craft vendors, game, prizes and more at this 3 day celebration! Specials;Youth hand Drum, Adult hand Drum, Men's Woodland & Women's Jingle. There will be a free Shuttle from Legendary Waters to the Pavilion. Admission is $7 for a Button which gets you in/out of the grounds.   5. CHARAC Namekagon Art & Music Festival

    July 6, 2019, All Day @ Mooselips Festival Grounds

    Located at the Mooselips Festival Grounds in Seeley, Wisconsin at Hwy 63 and County Rd OO. Admission is FREE! Many Vendors will be offering their wares, including paintings, photography, sculpture, wood working, jewelry, soaps, pottery, and metal “whirlygigs”. There will also be an author’s tent with local authors selling their books. Fun Activities to enjoy! Free Art Activity in Kid’s Tent Wine Glass Painting (fee to participate) The poetry jam starts at noon when participants can pick up their three words. They have an hour to write a poem which they then read to a panel inside at Mooselips. The winners of each age category then read their poem outside on the main stage.

    The Port Wing Saturday Market started 6 years ago with a handful of vendors. It has grown into a fun shopping place to hang out on Saturday mornings from May to October. The focus of the Port Wing Saturday Market is fresh, locally grown produce, plants and flowers. Our local farmers grow a wide variety of your favorite veggies and fruits. They also sell maple syrup, jams, jellies, farm fresh eggs & meats. Not only do we have fresh local produce, we offer local artists the opportunity to showcase their art: handmade books, stone and beaded jewelry, wood-carved and wood-turned spoons and other utensils, pottery, soaps and lotions, knitted hats & mittens, handwoven rag-rugs, bird paintings on wood and funny signs, just right for your cabin or guesthouse. When you are on the South Shore of Lake Superior, don't forget to stop by and visit!

    Maxi Priest is one of those artists whose unique vision has led him to tremendous international success, being the first reggae artist to have a No. 1 hit worldwide, including the U.S. Billboard charts. With over 15 million albums sold, he is the most successful solo act in British reggae history, respected by fellow artists from all over the world. Quito Rymer is a self-taught musician and painter. His first guitar was bought for him by his father, which he hid under his bed, as his mother was not in favor of non-church music. Today, Quito's music has grown into a creative collaboration of "Roots, Rock, and Reggae" which can be heard through his numerous recordings, and at his energetic and enthusiastic live performances.
