Come and watch artists paint around scenic Port Wing and the Lake Superior shoreline. An awards ceremony will be held on Saturday. A wet paint exhibition follows the ceremony and will continue until 1pm Sunday. Most works are for sale. Local businesses will serve beverages, meals and local history.

Proudly sponsored by the Grand View Volunteer Fire Department in conjunction with their Annual Homecoming Picnic weekend, the Firehouse 50 is a bicycle road race of 50.5 miles beginning and ending in Grand View, Wisconsin. This wonderfully scenic race takes you on black top roads winding through the pristine Chequamegon National Forest around Lake Namakagon and Lake Owen. Though it is our namesake, the Firehouse 50 is actually a full weekend of music, food, and fun!

Bizhiki Culture & Dance Company was founded with the goal of furthering people’s understanding of Indigenous cultures. Laughing Fox hosts and performs Native American flute songs. Featuring the powerful Native American drum beats of Iron Boy, the dedicated professionals of Bizhiki engage audiences of all ages through intricate stories, traditional and contemporary dance and song, and demonstration of traditional ecological knowledge.

Summer 2019 marks the Rookery’s 8th full season of live outdoor music, with free performances every Sunday afternoon from June 16 thru September 29. On music Sundays we feature a special outdoor patio menu. Food is served beginning at 1:30 and the music runs from 2-5. All outdoor seating is first come first served so we recommend you arrive early to secure your spot. The music goes on, rain or shine! We simply bring things indoors should weather conditions prove too harsh for our outdoor covered pavilion.
